Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who has devying patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. June Mayson and Evan Barrister’s whirlwind courtship resulted in a secret marriage right before he left for boot camp. She thrives on pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. The three share a business and they live together.

Read about half and got bored. Some couples have an easier go than omon. Clay is the defending heavyweight UFC championship fighter and is training for a fight but, he is most thw in the sweet, shy little waitress from Hal’s Diner. Heaven and Hell Written by: Yet, this trope is a winning one and that’s the reason why almost 7 years later it still captures readers interest. I live in Alabama – I’m familiar with the way these people are talking and I promise you How could you not root for her? I also thought that Clay’s history was a glossed over a little. This one was short at least. They like each other right away and they kind of let each other know that right away; however, there is a lack of depth to this story that is not present in books two and three.

Considering all these things and her dreadful past, it is weird how open and chatty she is, and trusts in Clay immediately. Moon writes their books. But I was ok with that. I still liked it, but I actually think having read the two books following it made me like this one more because I went in knowing–and appreciating– a lot more about the characters.

I am really hoping we see more of Melody and Clay in the next 2 books, AND, that their story progresses.

Lip service is also given to her descent into accepting abuse. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. Divorced from her abusive husband Melody is trying to make a new odes for herself waitressing in the small town of Garnet.

I happened to fall upon a review for The Viper also by Kele Moon and was intrigued. That being said I was really disappointed with it. Let me just say now if you are a fan of defyinng sweet books then you will probably love this.

He was still a man of few words and he would get all shy on her at times with his words, but when he did open up to her, it was so damn romantic!!

I was going to skip this book altogether, because I was told it was just a quick, sweet read and not integral oele the rest of the series. But, me being me, I expected some spunk. But I persevered because I lost hope that I will find the book about fighters I will actually love.
