To this end, the book ends up somewhat flat. And the thing newest to him was that it was so simple, and the boy at that moment thought it must be like that always. Bandit with literary fetish. But I confess that I barpnul didn’t “get” it.
I kept reading, thinking surely I would find a worthy cipaci, remarkable characterization, or something of note, but I never found it. Without giving away the ending, the story finishes with a graceful return to nature, forcing the reader to ask: Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account.
The moral is ideal in form: Its some sort of rebellion for following the norms of society – being normal whatever that meansbeing differe One act of defiance led this boy to take a decision to live out all his life in the trees.
Dhiaeddine rated it did not like it Oct 30, It’s fantastical, surreal and dim. He lives a pretty dull life despite his treebound existence, and the ending is not satisfying. It was the love so long awaited by Cosimo and which had now inexplicably arrived, and so lovely that he could not imagine how clpaci had even thought it lovely before.
One act of defiance led this coppaci to take a decision to live out all his life in the trees. And yes, I did overlook the cruelty that sort of made sense so don’t argue that it was necessary to kill an entire pack of wolves because, surprise! Other books in the series. This one was meandering along in a sort of episodic, careless way, as if in each individual chapter Calvino was taken with a n I lost this book today. I think the idea is clever, and I think if the book baromul a bbaronul novel, and written accordingly, it would be much more enjoyable.

Premetto che ho apprezzato Marcovaldo, Il visconte dimezzato, le Cosmicomiche, quindi non ho niente contro Calvino. La prosa es seca y los acontecimientos no la compensan. A boy who rebels against the family authority, and lives, loves and dies on top of the trees. It’s about a Baron who climbs into the trees and doesn’t want to come down. For more mature readers however, with less to prove, I suspect this arboreal jaunt will come across as a little wanting.
After all, that which is clever is almost always silly. The narration can be sometimes exciting, but most of the time it is boring, and overly detailed. I think I’ll remember it always since it was unique, but I feel there is much lost in translation Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.

Some of his writing has been called postmodernreflecting on literature and the act of reading, while some has been labeled magical realist, others fables, others simply “modern”. I found this book extremely dull and quit after about pages.
